Ian has lived in Leicestershire for 28 years. He is a retired Accountant He was the managing director of an aerospace business and led an international renewable energy business. He was lead member for finance for Charnwood borough council. Since retiring he has untaken voluntary work in vocational education.

Liberal Democrats believe that the Police and Crime Commissioner is a waste of money. The office costs and spin machine alone has cost the public £millions. Lib Dems would put this money into front-line policing and crime prevention measures instead.

At last May's local elections the Lib Dems were the big winners and lead more Councils than Labour and the Conservatives. `Here in Hinckley and Bosworth the Lib Dems control the local Borough Council are the main challengers to the Conservatives, with Local Champion Micheal Mullaney ready to become our next MP.

Polling Stations are open 7am- 10pm on Thursday 2nd May. You will need photo ID to vote. If you want to vote by post please contact your local council (DETAILS) or visit https://www.gov.uk/how-to-vote/postal-voting
